Our Partner Preschool

KCIPrimary is partnered with KCIP, a preschool for children aged between 18 months and 5 years, which neighbours KCIPrimary. Family discounts are offered for siblings attending either of the two schools. For further information about the pre-school visit KCIP website.

Inspiring Every Child to Love Learning

KCIP's Head of School is Maha Sarraf Griffin.

Maha is a dynamic and experienced Head of School who compliments the enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment of the School Directors. Her 21 year career in education has included 15 years of teaching at all levels of international primary schools in various countries throughout the world as well as 5 years in senior school management at an international school in Dubai.

Maha is no stranger to being in the classroom as both a teacher and a student. Since completing school she has returned to studies not less than 4 times. Having gained her BA in History and Political Science, Maha undertook her Masters in Elementary Education before beginning her teaching career. She later completed her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction as well as her Certificate in International School Leadership.

Maha considers herself to be a true third culture kid, or a global nomad as she prefers to call it, which suits her passion for travelling the globe, something that was instilled in her from a young age.

Maha believes in the importance of family in a child's education and enjoys working at KCIPrimary with a close community of school families. She has 4 children. The oldest three are studying in the US, two of whom are at university, and the youngest is here in Kampala.

In her spare time, Maha enjoys being out in nature and playing games outside, as well as being at the beach. Her hobbies include any and every kind of dancing, yoga and reading. She speaks three languages and has  had a children's book published called Raya's Globe.
